                                    3481 Tropen Summar 2/5 cm %u20ac2.000*no. 410090, 1938, condition B+ %u20ac 4.000 %u2013 5.000Special Summar lens (Leitz product number 42214) designed for use in tropical conditions, the Tropen Summar is a very rare variant of the regular Summar with an extra element at the front of the lens (optical formula B246a), which makes it a seven-element construction, Leitz factory records indicate %u2018TROPEN%u2019 for these very few lenses, which are to be found among the late Summar lenses shortly before the introduction of the Summitar, the only differencevisible from the outside is the groove along the collapsing barrel %u2014same as in the Summitars, the offered lens is in a very goodcondition, with good optics, including caps. It was delivered to New York in 1935.82 Summitar 2/5 cm SOORE %u20ac300no. 530068*, 1939, condition A/B %u20ac 600 %u2013 700Early%u00a0Summitar in near mint condition, interesting serial numberwith %u2018*%u2019 denoting a duplicate delivery, later coated optics with a few cleaning marks, feet scale, with both caps.83 Summitar * 2/5 cm Summicron %u20ac20.000prototype %u2018The First%u2019no. 812242, 1950, condition A%u2013 %u20ac 40.000 %u2013 50.000The first of the very rare prototypes of the later Summicron lens,note the diaphragm with apertures to f:22, a small series of these lenses was produced for testing purposes in 1950, three years before the Summicron came on to the market, the lens here is in beautiful, original condition. Leica Archives records show that this is the first of the empty lines reserved for this series of prototypes.
