                                    44117 Leica IV Technical Drawing %u20ac5.000*by Willi Stein1948, condition B/A %u20ac 10.000 %u2013 12.000An amazing, one-of-a-kind original technical drawing of the famous Leica IV. Executed in pencil on parchment, the drawing shows intricate details of the shutter construction. The drawingitself measures approx. 80%u00d7 54 cm, presented in a frame of 95%u2009%u00d7%u200970%u2009cm; the condition is very good, with only minor flaws and asingle tear. It is signed in the lower right corner with the initials%u2018St%u2019 for Willi Stein. Willi Stein was one of Leitz%u2019s leading camera designers and closely involved in the development of advanced prototypes in the 1930s and 1940s. Among his most notable projects was the Leica IV, an ambitious prototype that introduced groundbreaking ideas%u2009%u2014%u2009such as a combined viewfinder/rangefinderand a bayonet lens mount %u2014 and ultimately culminated in the legendary Leica M3.118 Leica M3 Giant Display Model %u20ac3.0001950s, condition B+ %u20ac 6.000 %u2013 7.000Very rare and attractive original giant display model of a chromeLeica M3 without serial number, transitional version with frame selector, early strap lugs and later speed progression, together with unnumbered rigid Summicron 2/5%u2009cm, meter scale, in goodcondition, ca. 61 %u00d7 31 %u00d7 32 cm, giant wooden display models of Leica cameras were occasionally officially produced by Leitz sinceapproximately the late 1920s. Examples of Leica camera models IA (A), III (F), IIIf as well as M3 have been reported. Furthermore, several custom-made giant models exist, but the original versions are exceedingly rare. Of the Leica M3 giant models, there even are a number of variations, made at different moments during the longproduction period of the M3. The first original giant display modelof the Leica M3 was made for presentation of the then new camera in April 1954 at Photokina in Cologne.119 Leica M3 Chrom-Muster 2 %u20ac8.000*prototype c.1954, condition A/B %u20ac 16.000 %u2013 20.000An early prototype Leica M3, produced as a sample for the chrome finish, engraved on the top plate and inside the base plate with%u2018Chrom-Muster 2%u2019. Interestingly, this example shows no flashcontact symbols engraved, an uncommon and noteworthy feature.
