This example, with chassis number 305, features the distinctive two-corner top plate associated with the very earliest M3 cameras. It retains early traits, including the absence of an L-seal, the early chassis construction, and the original double-stroke film advance.The camera was delivered to Cape Town in March 1954 and remains in excellent, original condition. It is accompanied by a collapsible Summicron 50%u2009mm f/2 lens, no.%u20091115548, which was delivered tothe same destination on the same date %u2014 11 March 1954.
