Only about 1,500 units of the Leica M2 were assembled at the Leitz plant in Canada, while the total production number was more than 76.000. Usually, these cameras were equipped with top plates from the Wetzlar production. Just a handful of examples carried the %u2018Leitz Canada%u2019 engravings and were intended as samples. Included with the camera is a matching, rare, original Midland Summarit 1.5/5 cm no.1419946, also in beautiful, near-mint condition.
