                                    9Leica I Mod. A Anastigmat no. 225 %u2018The 100th Leica%u2019The 100th Leica camera ever made. Serial production of Leicacameras began in 1923, starting with serial number%u00a0126. The offeredcamera, No. 225, was delivered to Ogilvy, a renowned advertising and marketing agency based in the UK, on January 29, 1925, making it likely the first Leica ever delivered to the United Kingdom. It is inexcellent condition and retains many of its highly sought-after early features, such as the flat eyepiece, pebble-shaped shutter release,and the original Anastigmat lens with well-preserved optics.The only modifications made later by Leitz were an upgradedvulcanite rewind knob and a ratcheting mechanism. The camera comes with an original Etrin case, a FODIN rangefinder, two spools,and a matching early aluminium lens cap.
